ODI commands

Installation

Download the ODI JAR file and add it to the CLASSPATH environment variable.

odi-cdf: ODI CDF writer

The LD_LIBRARY_PATH (Linux) or DYLD_LIBRARY_PATH (Mac) must be set to the directory that contains the native library files. If the CDF software has been installed the CDF_BASE variable will point to the install location. The ${CDF_BASE}/HOWTO.run-Java-tools file describes how to set the LD_LIBRARY_PATH or DYLD_LIBRARY_PATH variables.

For example, in Bash on a Mac one can do the following

    export DYLD_LIBRARY_PATH=.:${CDF_BASE}/cdfjava/lib

Then, download the odi-cdf script and make it executable.

At the command line, typing odi-cdf will show the required parameters. To export a dataset try

    odi-cdf index_kpap_3h

or

    odi-cdf -i rest4 index_kpap_3h

for an instance named rest4.

The CDF file will be named index_kpap_3h.cdf and can be browsed with the CDF tool cdfbrowse.
